Engaging the Refugee Crisis: A Brief Primer

  1. Amy, you apply some clear truths to an unclear subject. So many opinions about the care and keeping of refugees are out there, loud and proud. I appreciate the gentle way you bring Scripture to the conversation, reminding us what it means to follow Jesus.

  2. Yes! “Christ commanded that we go into the world and make disciples of all nations. As Americans, we are not only called to minister to our fellow citizens but to any nationality living among us. When we consider that a great deal of refugees are coming from areas essentially unreached by the Gospel, it is apparent that God is readying a harvest for His church to sow seeds of the Gospel” This makes me think of John 5 … eternal harvest <3

  3. I really appreciate this perspective! I have thought similar things but it is not common to hear. Love hearing other women fighting for God’s perspective.

  4. This was such an excellent and powerful read, Amy. THANK YOU for offering us Truth and Wisdom in your message. All Christians need to read this. I am sharing this on my page and on my personal page as well. SO good.

  5. Such a beautiful truth! May we show compassion for the foreigner.
“You must not mistreat or oppress foreigners in any way. Remember, you yourselves were once foreigners in the land of Egypt.”
    ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭22:21‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  6. Your post beautifully expresses the heart of the Father for all of His wandering children. May the Body of Christ seek to minister to those who need refuge with His wisdom and love.
