Refugee Resettlement, National Security, and Christian Response

  1. I’m not religious, but I couldn’t agree more with this. As moral beings–whether our morality is based on religion or our own personal beliefs–we can’t draw a line between citizens of our countries and citizens of other countries when their lives are in danger. It seems so contradictory to me to base your life off the principles taught in the New Testament, but to turn people away because they happened to be born in a different country–to believe that they’re lesser than you, and that it’s not our job to try to help or understand or relate to them. Thanks for writing this post–it couldn’t be a more important subject to talk about right now.
