The Father, Son, and Spirit work in perfect unity to accomplish salvation, but there are several key ways that the Spirit works particularly in the application of salvation.
The Bible isn’t a “once upon a time… and they lived happily ever after” story. Instead, there is a tragic fall, a growing hope, and a final victory. In the unfolding story of Scripture, we see a Kingdom ruined by sin, redeemed through God’s covenant promises, and finally restored by a Crucified King.
It’s hard to have a spouse who works from home, but God can help us fight temptation and cultivate gratitude in our struggles.
“You cannot be right with God and be habitually trashing those who are made in his image.”
Generosity is a fruit of regenerated hearts. It is the evidence of a person conforming into the image of our Savior, who gave his very life for us.
Someday, Jesus would go to another garden, a place called Gethsemane, and He would obey where Adam failed. He would redeem us from the curse, by becoming a curse for us.
Rather than letting sin destroy His creation, God would send a Messiah to reverse the curse.
“There are no exemptions, no asterisks, placed against the truth that man is made in God’s image and that this is where we derive our value.”
It’s almost Christmas which means… time to shop for BOOKS!
God cannot be tamed. He is a God of mercy and a God of justice. He is beautiful and dangerous. He should be loved as Father and revered as King, feared as Judge and treasured as Savior.
